The SA research collaborators, along with their KZN Department of Health (DoH) partners, are undertaking a longitudinal cohort study that will explore health services utilization patterns from the DHIS data. The DHIS an electronic data has health services utilization data from every single Public Health facilitiy in the Province of Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa.
Previous SASUF projects with our two Swedish collaborators had explored the DHIS data examining health service utilization patterns in relation to the indicators of SDG3.
Aims

1.Extending the existing collaboration with the Swedish partners –University of Uppsala and Lund, the SA to provide opportunities for international co-operation in higher education.

2.To recruit master's and PhD student in the longitudinal study.

3.This collaboration will link the historically disadvantaged MUT through research upskilling of staff and students, build research capacity and engagement in student and staff mobility and exchange programs between SA and Swedish partners.
