Large deposits of coal power plant fly ash and bottom ash, slags and phosphogypsum are major industrial
waste materials in South Africa that are rich in major pozzolanic compounds and alumina silicate
compounds, Limestone quarry waste and low plasticity clays are major sources of low temperature calcined
clay based cements materials . Also large deposits of differet types of plastic waste end up in landfills and
present both serious economic and environmental problems to many municipal governments. Detail study
of the development , performance evaluation and recycle potential of major indsutral waste is proposed;
  • Development , field evaluation and recycling potential of industrial waste based binders in road sections
  • Development, field evaluation and recycling potential of Municipal Plastic wastes –Asphalt Concrete Roads
  • Model Development and field performance evaluation of Sustainable Smart Permeable Pavements
